Andrew Gordon is a professor at the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Affairs. He researches bureaucratic information sources and distortions, as well as the use of computers for public policy decision making and by foundations and community organizations. Andy consults with several companies and organizations on the appropriate use of technology and for several years he directed a study for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, examining their United States and Canada Library Program. Prior to joining UW in 1988, Gordon served for 19 years on the faculty at Northwestern University in the departments of Sociology, Psychology, and Urban Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. in social psychology from Columbia University.
