Godfred Frempong

Godfred Frempong is a Principal Research Scientist of the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He holds Master of Social Sciences Degree from University of Lund Sweden in Science Policy and a PhD from University of Ghana in Sociology. Godfred Frempong has also received post qualification training from institutions such as Centre for Information Technologies of Technical University of Denmark, University of Amsterdam, Wageningen University and Research and PREST of Manchester University (as Commonwealth Professional Fellow in 2006). He has rich experience in policy research having been involved in this research for a considerable period of time. His research interest is in ICTs, and has deep knowledge in telecom and general ICT development in Ghana, and has written extensively on ICT reform, regulation and development in Ghana. He coordinates Research ICT Africa Network’s research activities in Ghana and also a member of the African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS).
