Michael Crandall is Chair of the Master of Science in Information Management program and a Senior Lecturer in the Information School of the University of Washington. Prior to joining the Information School in January of 2005, he was Technology Manager for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Libraries and Public Access to Information Program, Manager of the Knowledge Architecture Group in Microsoft Information Services, and worked at the Boeing Company on multiple projects related to information management and information architecture. He currently serves on the board of Communities Connect Network, the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative Oversight Committee, and the Access to Justice Technology Committee. Current research efforts focus on the impact of public access technology.
