Raymond Hyma

Raymond Hyma is a Programme Management Officer with Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC). He is primarily responsible for facilitating the management of the project Investigating the Social & Economic Impact of Public Access to ICT and promoting the research on the behalf of IDRC. Prior to joining IDRC, he was a Rotary Peace Fellow carrying out research related to ICT4D in small island developing states. He has also worked at Global Knowledge Partnership, the Canadian International Development Agency and several other departments in the Canadian Government. Raymond holds a Master in International Relations from the Universidad del Salvador, Argentina.

Amy Mahan Research Fellows off to London to participate at ICTD2010

Following a year of rigorous research activities aimed to build upon the knowledge regarding public access to information and communication technologies (ICT), efforts of the Amy Mahan Research Fellows are beginning to bear fruit for the young scholars. Teams from Argentina, China, Malaysia, Peru, Rwanda and Thailand have all had papers accepted for the postgraduate day at ICTD2010, an international conference taking place in London where researchers and practitioners will meet to discuss the latest research in the field of ICT for development.
